From the warm welcome to the clean, comfortable bed, their breakfast, their dinner which tastes like home. everything was perfect. The owners Cindy and Joos were Genuinely the most amazing hosts, they truly treat you like family and it shows how Good energy and kindness can truly make you feel so much more safe and comfortable! HIGHLY Recommend this lovely couples Retreat away from home! 1. Safe! 2. Close to Garages, Shopping Centers and restaurants. 3. Beautiful scenery and tranquil! 4. Very helpful and friendly. 5.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place is a hidden gem. My girlfriend and I have been looking for something exactly like this. The room is perfect for a couples getaway. The dam is at max 20 steps away from your room door. The hosts are a beautiful couple that provided us with such a hands on experience and made it feel like a home away from home. The property is beautiful and super safe. This place is definitely a fisherman's dream location. There is also a restaurant on the property. The fish are very well kept with the option of fish for carp or bass. There are also some monster fish in that dam. My girlfriend got her personal best 3.5kg carp. There is a fishing shops that is 1km away from the venue so if you do need to restock on any fishing gear or supplies its very convenient. Night fishing is a magical experience. There is also WIFI and a TV in the room with DSTV and Netflix so for those that need technology rest assured. I will definitely say this is a must stay location and I will be going back there for some more beautiful memories.

Even though it’s right in Kempton Park, it has such a peaceful, countryside feel. The greenery, the quiet atmosphere, and the little dam with ducks and geese wandering around make it incredibly relaxing. Our 2-year-old absolutely loved being outside and watching the animals — it was such a joy to see. What started as a short stay turned into a total of 10 days with multiple visits — and that alone says everything about how much we enjoyed being there. Cindy and Joos are wonderful hosts. They are warm, thoughtful, and always ready to help with anything. They made us feel completely at home and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food was also a highlight — both breakfast and dinner were consistently delicious and prepared with care. This is the perfect place if you’re looking for a peaceful escape within the city or a beautiful, relaxing spot close to the airport. We would absolutely stay here again.

But The Nugget, well this was exceptional, Joos and Cindy are extremely friendly hosts and helpful. The name also has such a special meaning, seeing that we are also dachshund lovers.

It’s honestly hard to believe you’re in Kempton Park — the place feels like a peaceful little farm getaway. There’s a small dam with ducks and geese walking around, and everything is just calm, green, and quiet. Our 2-year-old absolutely loved it, especially chasing around and watching the geese — it really made the stay extra special for us. We originally stayed just one night after landing because it’s so close to the airport. Then we headed off to Pilanesberg, but on our way back our flight got canceled due to the Middle East conflict. We ended up staying another 4 days — and honestly, we didn’t mind at all. After that we went to Ballito for a week, and then came back again for another 4 days because we enjoyed it so much. Cindy and Joos are absolute gems. They’re some of the kindest, most caring people we’ve met, and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable — especially when things didn’t go as planned with our flights. Also, the food deserves a big mention — the breakfasts and dinners were seriously delicious. Every meal was something to look forward to. Whether you’re just arriving in Johannesburg or looking for a quiet, relaxing place to unwind, this spot is perfect. It really feels like a hidden escape within the city. We’ll definitely be back!
